How it works

Encrypted before it
ever leaves your device.

The Vault uses AES-256-GCM encryption entirely in your browser. Your master key is derived from your password and is never transmitted — not even to us.

Frequently Asked Questions

VenCrypt is a zero-knowledge, end-to-end encrypted cloud storage platform. It lets you securely store and manage sensitive data—files, notes, that runs entirely in your browser. Your password never leaves your device, so not even we can access your data. VenCrypt is built for people who believe privacy is a right, not a feature.
No, absolutely not. Your files are locked on your own computer or phone before they are ever sent to us. Because we never ask for or store your password, we don't have the key to open them. We cannot read your documents, see your photos, or hand your data over to anyone else. It is mathematically impossible.
Because we never store your password, we cannot reset it for you. Your password is the one and only key that can unlock your files. If you lose it, your files will remain locked forever. We designed it this way on purpose so that nobody—not even our own engineers—can bypass your security. However, we do provide a feature to help you: you can download a backup of your password as a file and store it somewhere safe. That is the only recovery method available. If you lose both your password and the backup, your data is gone permanently. Please keep your password safe!
This is one of our strongest security features. Most websites save your password in your browser's background memory, which makes it an easy target for hackers. We refuse to do that. The moment you refresh the page or close the tab, your device instantly “forgets” your password. It might take an extra second to type it again, but it guarantees your key is never left lying around.
Every time you lock a file, our system places a unique, invisible “digital seal” on it. When you go to download and open your file later, the app automatically checks that seal. If even a tiny drop of your data was changed by a glitch or a bad actor, the seal will break and the app will instantly warn you. You will always know your data is exactly how you left it.
Vault uses AES-256-GCM encryption entirely in your browser. Your data is encrypted before it ever leaves your device, and your encryption key is never sent to our servers. Only the encrypted ciphertext is stored.
No. We employ a zero-knowledge architecture, meaning we can only store and return your encrypted data. Without your password, the data is mathematically unreadable. We have no access to your plaintext information.
Yes, your encrypted data is stored securely on our servers and can be accessed from any device. Only you can decrypt it with your password. Each device must use the same password to access and decrypt your vault.
